Week 4 means it was Group 2's turn to cook again.

On the menu were Fruity Flapjacks, just like Group 1 cooked last week.

Miss Aindow shared the recipe with everyone, then we took it in turns to collect the right equipment that we needed. We are all getting much better at looking carefully for the equipment that we need, and using the labels on the cupboards to help us.

First we weighed out the ingredients with help from Mrs England and Miss Aindow.

Then it was time to squish the blueberries! Some of us used a fork to squash them, some of us got stuck in with our fingers and gave them a good squeeze!

Next, we put the sugar, oats, flour and butter into a bowl. Using our fingers, we mixed the ingredients together until they were combined into crumbs.

After that it was time to tip half of the mixture into the loaf tin. We used our hands to really press the mixture down in the tin (as it kept popping back up!). The squashed blueberries were sprinkled over the top, then the rest of the oat mixture went over the top of the squashed blueberries.

And that was it! Mrs England carefully put them into the oven to cook and then it was time for everyone to work together to clean and tidy everything away.

We finished the session off by watching the Fruity Flapjack episode of I Can Cook.

We hope you enjoyed the flapjacks!
