Hi all you 11G followers,

It has been great seeing what you have been up to and I hope all the 11G learners have seen the videos myself and Mrs Cobham have sent you this week on the Evidence for Learning platform.  I have been really pleased to hear how Em McGrarry has been doing! She has been walking the dog everyday to keep active, using the vacuum to help clean the house and even used a microwave safely to prepare a meal! Well done Em.  I have also received some more marvelous learning from home activities from Tanay and Patrick.  Tanay has been practicing his hand writing, reading and he also completed the Jobs poster challenge I set you all! Tanay explained he would like to work in a cafe.  I'm sure you all agree with his friendly and inquisitive character he would be an excellent worker in a cafe.

Patrick has also expressed an interest in working in the catering industry.  To improve his culinary skills, he has made a range of dishes including fish fingers and chips.  I was very impressed with how sensible and skilfully Patrick used a knife, peeler, hob and oven.  I’m sure you will all be impressed with the pictures of Patrick cooking up a storm!

I would also like to inform you all that it is MADD Week (Music, Arts, Dance & Drama) next week. There will be videos of activities you can try at home on the schools Youtube Channel. There are some fantastic artists in 11G so I am hoping for a bumper response of videos and photos show casing your talents.

I have had a busy week and got up to all sorts of fun. To keep healthy, I have been taking Elizabeth running with me. Well… she rides her bike and I chase after her. The only difference to running on my own is we have to have a snack stop every mile! We also practiced our road safety by stopping, looking, and listening before we crossed the roads. To keep visible, I wear my hi-vis running vest and Elizabeth wears bright pink clothes and a helmet. What have you superstars been doing to stay fit?

We also re-created Mrs Melling’s My Communication activity and read the story Tiger Who Came to Tea. But I have to say my favourite part of the week was when we practiced writing our letter sounds on the wall in the garden.  First we wrote them in big chalk, then we went over them in spray paint and to finish off we used the hose pipe to wash them off.  It was really nice to do our learning outside!

Miss Armstrong began her official maternity leave this week.  She has been in touch to let you all know she is safe, well and missing you all as she awaits her new arrival.

But what has Mrs Cobham been up to?

Hello 11G, I hope you are all keeping super safe and having fun at home.

This week I’ve been doing some work for Mr Massey – all about jobs and the equipment you might need.  To keep me smiling I have been playing our 11G Music Playlist.

I’ve been crocheting again and made the beautiful rainbow hanging in my window and I’ve taken Maisie for lots of walks with Mr Cobham.

Last week I finished a book that I’ve been meaning to read for a long time – it was nice to sit in the garden in the sun with a coffee and listen to the birds.

Mrs Cobham

Thanks Mrs Cobs! I will be emailing out some of those fab jobs resources you have made to our team of super learners!

Well I hope you are all happy and well.

Take care

Mr Massey
