Hi everyone,

We’ve had another busy week in 8R. On Monday we had our first class Teams meeting and it was so lovely to see everyone and have a chat. Everyone shared some news, just like we do in our nurture group in class and at the end of the meeting everyone voted to meet again next week.

Here is what 8R have been getting up to;

Callum has been very busy doing lots of experiments and showed us his lovely new bike.

Faith has been keeping in touch with her Guides group by chatting on Zoom and she performed a great duet with her Mum.

Michael has been busy researching Tesla cars and has found out they can now stop on their own at red lights.

Sam showed us his new basketball and is just waiting for his net to arrive, he’s also been having lots of fun outside and has been keeping up with his boxing.

Sarah has also been attending the Guides Zoom meetings and she showed us an amazing poster that she has designed featuring penguins.

Rebecca has been very busy playing in her garden and visited the Botanic Gardens.

Cordell has been learning how to play football with his Mum and he’s also been playing games with Sam on the Xbox.

Robyn had a delicious BBQ with her little cousin Evie, it sounded amazing!

Thomas has made a wonderful indoor garden and introduced us to his pet budgie Benny. He also emailed some lovely photos from his half term break where he took part in lots of craft activities and enjoyed playing on his scooter.

Tyler emailed me via 2email on Purple Mash and shared some fantastic photos of a guitar that he has been making with his Dad.

Mrs Down and Mrs Devlin have had a well deserved week off this week. Mrs Down has been enjoying the sunshine and been out on lots of walks. Near her mum and dad’s house she found a ‘Fairy Retreat’ where families have made fairy houses along the river, she’s sent some pictures for us to see.

I had a lovely half term break last week and spent a lot of time in the garden with Jake and Annie. We enjoyed completing some experiments (we got very messy!), we baked some dinosaur cakes and went on some lovely walks. We’ve also been busy looking after our caterpillars and over the half term they turned into cocoons! I'll keep you updated and share some photos when they turn into butterflies.

8R’s Six star challenge superstars

Congratulations to Cordell, Michael and Thomas who completed all 6 challenges this week and earned their gold certificates! Well done to all of you!

Keep safe everyone and please keep sending in your photos, we love to see what everyone’s been doing.
