Hello everyone!

We hope you are all being safe and enjoying the sun with your sun hats and sun cream!

Let’s have a quick catch up from our 13th and 14th week learning from home.

Learning from Home - Week 13 & 14:

  • Ethan has done more reading, writing and maths work. He enjoyed some crafts and sporty activities too. Well done Ethan.
  • Amir has been to the beach with mummy and Ryan and enjoyed drawing and writing in the sand with sticks. Good work Amir.
  • Mia has enjoyed craft activities, cutting and sticking outside in the sun. She has continued to use her fish to help her keep calm. Great work Mia.
  • Josh created his own book about ‘Captain Underpants’. He decorated the cover all by himself and told mummy and daddy all about what he had drawn. Brilliant work Joshy.
  • Ellie has been busy solving more puzzles and has even been able to complete her shadow challenge for Mrs Banks. Super work Ellie.
  • Tig has enjoyed reading his personalised reading book and spending time with his family. Great work Tig!
  • Oscar has been busy with mummy in the garden planting and watering vegetables, making his own dinner and he has been playing some Numicon games. This week Oscar has been very brave, he had to go to the hospital for a blood test. He stayed with his mummy the whole time to keep safe. Well done Oscar!
  • Oliver has been out and about keeping active, going on bike rides and playing at the seaside. He has enjoyed more time watching the Astley Park YouTube videos too. Well done Oliver!

What Animal is Hiding? – Week 13:

Our focus of Week 13’s online class activity was ‘Jungle Animals’.

We got to look what Miss Cross had in her box – she had one of Oak’s favourite toys- chattering teeth! We then looked what animals were hiding in another box. Oak Class learners had to guess what animal it was when Miss Cross gave clues.

At the end of the activity we discovered four animals! A giraffe, a tiger, a crocodile and an elephant.

  • Amelia enjoyed seeing her friends again and listening to everyone singing ‘What’s in the Box’. Well done Amelia!
  • Ethan did super guessing of the animals and waited for his familiar adults to tell him it was his turn to give an answer. Great waiting Ethan!
  • Oliver did fantastic reading of our ‘Now, Next, After’ and could tell us what we needed to do within our activity. Oliver even guessed the animals that were hiding, listening carefully to the clues. Super Oliver!
  • Oscar showed off more signing skills, even though he was not able to see Miss Cross very well. He could remember some of the animal we found and signed them. Fantastic work Oscar!

Star of the Week - Week 13:

We would like to give a huge well done to, Mia! We are very proud of you for working hard at home, keeping busy with your cutting and sticking and using your new fish to keep calm! Great work, what a superstar! Your teachers are very proud!

Please have a look at our Sports Week blog (Oak Get Active at Home), to see how your friends in Oak have been joining in this week. Do you know who our Sports Week Star of the Week is?..

Remember: Keep working hard and upload pictures and videos to Evidence for Learning for us to see.
