Well, it’s been another busy and fun week in 11G doing lots of wonderful activities and learning about so many different things.

During our ICT lesson some of the pupils started to learn how to play the battleships game with Mr Murphy while another group practised logging on and searching for things on google. Finally, the last group found interactive games which they then accessed and played .
This was a really great lesson, with lots of learning going on whilst having fun using iPads and laptops.

We all took part in yet another Attention Autism session, this time we built on our newly found knowledge of the book and film ‘Harry Potter’ and we watched Mrs Powell use a cauldron to make a special spell. We all had a go at stirring the cauldron and we laughed at Mrs Powell when she dressed up in a pointed hat.

During the week we spent some time outside again and we used the leaves and twigs that we found on the grass to build some lovely nature pictures. We all had a cold drink of juice and got a biscuit at the end...a reward for doing some fabulous nature work.

Yesterday we spent time making cornflake cakes for today’s coffee morning. We each had our own bowl, melted chocolate and cornflakes and we made the cakes then popped them in the fridge to set. What a fun activity this was and it was especially good when we got to lick our own spoons at the end.

The coffee morning this year was very different but we all still enjoyed eating the cornflake cakes and having a drink of tea, coffee or juice.
It was lovely that a few parents were able to join us online too and they had their own brew at home while we had ours.

This afternoon we used the Blue-bots to help us to learn about directions. We programmed the Blue -bots to go forwards, backwards and in a circle using the directional arrows.
After this activity we joined Mr Welsh and the other classes online for our celebration assembly...this worked really well and it was fab to see everyone online.
Well done to Amelia for getting star of the week for fantastic speaking.

So, after such a busy week we are all ready for a rest. Have a wonderful weekend everyone and we will see you all again on Monday. Take care, Ms Lea.
