7R have spent the afternoon learning about healthy eating. First we watched an information video about different food groups and why they are important for the body. We learnt that diary foods help our teeth and bones stay strong, carbohydrates give us energy, proteins help our muscles repair and grow, fruits and vegetables give us energy and fats keep our bodies warm. We then learnt about the eat well guide and recommendations for the amounts of each food groups we should be eating. In groups we sorted foods into different groups, created our own healthy meal, and made information posters about a food group of interest. Great work 7R!
