World Book Day 2022

Today is world book day in Astley Park and 9G came in dressed up in some fantastic costumes.

We had Where’s Wally, Piggy, A sports Man, Matilda, Dennis the Menace, Mine craft, Harry Potter and Action Man. We also had not one, not two but five little pigs.

9G joined Mr Welsh on teams along with the rest of the school. Mr Welsh showed us some CCTV footage  of a wolf wondering around Astley Park School and he was holding a cup and some tissues. Wonder what the wolf was up to. Mr Welsh asked the school to keep a look out.

Mr Welsh then came to visit 9G in class. He had a HUGE pig costume on. He asked if we had seen the wolf. 9G hadn’t. Mr Welsh then gave the class a book for Miss Brophy to read later. The book was “The True Story of the Three Little Pigs”

9G then went into the sensory room and listened to the Three Little Pigs story, read out by Mrs Mahood. The were lots of sensory interaction which 9G joined in with.

Back in class, Miss Brophy then read “The True Story of the Three Little Pigs”. All he was doing was looking for a cup of sugar and he didn’t blow any houses down, he had a very bad cold and sneezed the doors down. Well that was the version the wolf told us !

After dinner break we were lucky enough to go on a huge bouncy castle in the hall and there was a gaint Jenga.

9G had a brilliant time, doing good sharing of the slide and doing good turn taking on Jenga.

Finally, on teams the 9G joined in whilst in class with a world book day costumes parade, showing off our costumes to the rest of the school.

Hope you all enjoyed yourselves
