Willow Class have made such super choices this half term. We have all been collecting our school value stars for honesty, positivity, kindness, teamwork and respect. Our teachers thought that with all our hard work we deserved a fun day at the seaside!!!

As our topic this term is ‘fairground’ we decided to look at seaside attractions. On the journey to the seaside we drove past the fairground. We were so excited telling our friends what rides we could see. We spotted the rollercoaster, log flume and the heater skelter.
Once we had parked up, we practised our road safety to get to the pier. It was so windy!!!!!! We were all laughing as we walked all the way to the end.
At the end of the pier we went into the penny arcade. We all got given 10 pennies to spend how we wanted. It was so much fun looking at all the games and then spending our money playing our favourite games.

Next stop was McDonalds as we had all built up a good appetite!!! We practised our money skills and independence, ordering our own food and paying the man at the till. We were so sensible eating our lunch and definitely represented Astley Park well. Our teachers were so proud.

After our lunch we had a walk to the beach, by the time we had got there the heavens had opened and we got very wet!!! After a little look for shells are decided to head back undercover and Miss Riley very kindly treated us all to a McFlurry.

All dried off, it was time to get back on the bus and head back to school. It was such a busy day that some of us had a little nap on the way back!!

Well done Willow Class, you were all superstars on our trip and we had the best day out!!!
