What a lovely afternoon for willow class hosting our families for sharing our learning!
The children worked hard this week to cook a selection of the foods we have been learning to bake this term, ready to host a cafe afternoon with our families. The children made sausage rolls, chocolate pastries, banana splits, cheese sandwiches and jellies- although the jellies didn’t set in time so we will have to eat these for snack tomorrow!
We welcomed parents into class and had a chat before sharing the skills we had been working on through our cookery lessons, equipment we have practiced using and what recipes we have tried.
The children were then challenged to take their parents orders and use the price lists to pay for the items using toy coins. Everyone had a lovely chat and tried some of the children’s cooking.
