Yesterday we celebrated the Holi also known as the Festival of colour.

It is one of the most popular and significant festivals in Hinduism.

7A were extremely excited alllllll day!!

In the morning they made pictures using colourful handprints to go on the classroom door. They enjoyed painting their hands and some tried giving high 5’s to the adults, which ended up quite messy but lots of laughs were had. There were some really colourful and looked great. They then made paperchains to hang around the classroom. Everyone helped each other in joining the paperchains together and were amazed how long it was. Well done 7A on showing  two of our school values, fantastic teamwork and kindness.

In the afternoon it was the time they had all been waiting for….the paint throwing!!!

Everyone got changed into their old clothes, put on their colourful glasses and off they went outside where, to add to their excitement, it had started to snow. 7A gathered with the rest of the secondary classes and a countdown began 5,4,3,2,1…. a big cloud of colour as everyone threw powder paint in the air, it looked amazing.

Time to walk around the track past the colour stations where SLT were throwing paint as learners passed. Everyone had a fantastic day and absolutely loved the whole day but the paint throwing was definitely the favourite part!

I’m sure washing machine’s were in overdrive last night but it was worth every minute to see how much fun was had.
