Apologies for the missing Blog last week. 8A had such a busy week that it completely slipped by without us posting so this week we are covering both weeks.
We hope you enjoy our Rainbow Flag design incorporating the AP logo. We enjoyed the parade around school looking at everybody’s designs. We learned all about different family units. We enjoyed a trip to Lytham St Anne’s and again the weather stayed nice and sunny for us. We made sure we had our sun cream and plenty water to keep us hydrated. We ended that week celebrating Gemma’s birthday.  We know Gemma had a great birthday as she has told us all about it.
This week has been sports week and we have been lucky enough to have some great sports coaches come in from Chorley Sports Partnership. 8A have had the chance to do multi sports, tag rugby, and Yoga. In swimming we have been learning about water safety. During our swimming lessons two pupils gained their 100m badges whilst another gained their 50m. The learners really are coming on leaps and bounds in our swimming lessons

We returned to Lytham St Anne’s and spent some time on the pier and in the amusement arcade. We ate our lunch outside on the promenade and managed to avoid the cheeky seagulls.

Thursday was Year 11 prom and 8A really enjoyed seeing all the learners in their amazing outfits. They cheered and clapped as they paraded around the track for everyone to see.

Our star of the week this week is Jake for fantastic mental maths whilst shopping. Jake added the items up and could tell us what change we should get. Well done Jake.
