9A have been learning to work on our independence skills by using the work stations again. We are gaining more confident at this and making our teachers proud. We have continued to explore To Infinity and Beyond and have looked at the story and film of Hidden Figures and the life of Neil Armstrong. This will help us learn about biographies which we have just started to learn and write about this week.
We looked at what baptism means and talked about who had been baptised in class. We designed a gift for someone who was being baptised.Everyone had different ideas.
On Friday morning Astley Park held a MacMillan coffee morning. 9A enjoyed some cake and a dink. Some of our families joined us.

On Friday afternoon we made pineapple upside down cake. Some of it may have made it home for you to taste. If it did, we hope you enjoyed it. Most of the learners and enjoyed it as well as Mr Welsh, who was our very own Paul Hollywood and did a taste test and gave the learners 10 out of 10.
Our Star of the Week this week is Olivia for having a positive attitude all week and working very hard in Maths this morning. Well done Olivia, what a superstar.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.
