We have continued our learning around real life super heroes. This week we welcomed another special visitor in to school, a staff sergeant from The Army. He came in to talk to us about his job role in the army and answer any questions we had.
He had everyone working together to get in a horse shoe shape so that everyone could see each other. The learners had to work as a team to direct each other, teachers weren’t allowed to help. Everyone worked together and were able to get into position.
He told us about all the countries he had visited, what it was like to drive a tank, how long he had been in the army and what it is like to be in the army. He told us how important it is to stay hydrated as your body can survive without food, but not water.
He taught us how to stand at ease and then how to stand at attention.
We found it very interesting and learnt a lot.
We hope you all have a wonderful half term! See you in November :-)
