Though there may be two more days in November on Saturday and Sunday, we’ll be getting into the full Festive Spirit when we come back to school on Monday as it’ll be December! Then again we’ve been getting into the Festive Spirit since November began and this week has been no different!
Monday started with a carousel of activities for Phonics, Reading and Number work, and our learners enjoyed going between the different stations and working with different teachers at each one. Instead of Spanish on Monday Afternoon we had a Thrive session, during which we played Duck, Duck, Goose and Musical Chairs (We used this as a chance to listen to Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer, our song for the Christmas Performance), during which we celebrated our friends and encouraged everyone to do their best.
We enjoyed P.E. on Tuesday Morning and it’s been fantastic to see everyone working as hard as they can during our P.E. sessions, as well as always trying their best! On Tuesday Afternoon we had our Spanish lesson and we recapped our previous learning before talking about the weather in English. In the next few weeks we’re going to be learning about the weather in Spanish so we took the time to check what we know in English, and it’s fair to say that we’ve a number of budding meteorologists in class! We also continued our practicing for the Christmas Performance, as well as taking some photos in front of a green screen to use as Christmas Decorations for the Christmas Tree in the hall.
On Wednesday Morning we had a music lesson, and enjoyed using boomwhackers to play along with music on the Interactive Whiteboard, we enjoyed a variety of songs including “Apt” by Bruno Mars and Rose, “All Star” by Smashmouth as well as “Waka Waka” by Shakira! We practiced our Christmas Song in the afternoon before having a Phonics and Reading lesson in the afternoon.
Thursday Morning saw our Phonics and Reading lesson returned to its usual morning slot, and in the afternoon we practiced our Christmas Song before enjoying a Christmas Story on the Interactive Whiteboard as well as playing some Christmas Games with our friends on the Interactive Whiteboard.
There was no Miss Molloy on Friday, so Mrs Smith started the day with lots of energy as she played “Friday-Dopamine” by Nightcrawlers and Riton, and the class enjoyed a dance! It was Phonics, Reading and Number work on Friday Morning before we had a practice of our Christmas Song prior to lunch, and in the afternoon we enjoyed Golden Time as a reward for all of our hard work this week! We’ve done super this week, and continue to show why we are a brilliant class! Finally, during assembly we all went up to the front of the hall to place our decorations on the Christmas Tree, and then Mr Welsh gave us our class Advent Calendar!
Star Of The Week this week is Mr Preece for always being the best member of staff in 7P! Well done Mr Preece, we’re all very proud of you!
Star Of The Week this week is Rian! Rian has been a shining star when it has come to signing and singing our song for the Christmas Performance! Well done Rian, we’re all very proud of you!
Have a great weekend everyone!
