As Mariah Carey would say “It’s time!”, December is here and we are on the countdown to Christmas! Mr Preece has finally embraced the Christmas Spirit, though no-one could rival Mrs Smith’s excitement for the visit of Santa Claus!

On Monday Morning we enjoyed a Sensory Story, “Ten Little Lights”, https://www.twinkl.co.uk/resource/t-l-54171-ten-little-lights-ebook, and everyone got involved as Miss Molloy read the story to us. We then did our own reading packs before going into the hall for lunch where the Christmas Tree we helped to decorate on the previous Friday was lit up. We practiced for the Christmas Performance on Monday Afternoon, and are looking forwards to showing you how good we’ve got at our song.

Tuesday Morning was P.E. and along with our friends from 9P we enjoyed lots of fun activities in the hall, we especially enjoyed throwing and catching games! We also did our reading packs and a Phonics lesson on Tuesday, as well as further practice for the Christmas Performance.

We had Reading, Phonics and Number work on Wednesday Morning, and in the afternoon we enjoyed a Thrive Session as we played Pin the Nose On Rudolph with our friends, and even Mrs Mahood came in to join in with us! Unfortunately the internet wasn’t working on Wednesday Afternoon when we wanted to practice our Christmas Performance song and so we had to sing it acapella which we did fantastically with, so if the music doesn’t work during our performance we’ll be able to sing it regardless! We finished the afternoon by playing some games on the Interactive Whiteboard as the internet had returned.

On Thursday Afternoon, after Phonics and Reading in the morning, we practiced our Christmas Song before discussing what presents we wanted Father Christmas to bring us when he visits us at school for Breakfast With Santa! There were lots of great suggestions from the learners, and once we’d all had a think we wrote a letter to Father Christmas!

Friday Morning saw Miss Molloy get the boomwhackers out and we played along to some songs, with our learners, and some of the staff, showing that they are talented musicians! We then enjoyed Golden Time on Friday Afternoon before assembly.

Our Star Of The Week this week is George! George had worked hard this week on building a regulation kit, and George has also been requesting space when he needs it! Well done George, we’re all very proud of you!

Have an amazing weekend everyone!
