In Forest Schools this week, we got out the litter pickers and did some site maintenance, picking up rubbish from around the school grounds. We worked in partners, communicating with each other when we had found some rubbish and working together to pick it and bag it! It was incredible to see the amount of rubbish we collected from around school, from a 'Mr Freeze' wrapper (that must have been there since the summer) to a laminated picture of a bus and even some broken cones! It was a fantastic effort from everyone involved!
In MADD group we have been discussing what we would like to explore now that we have finished the Christmas production. We ended up with two groups, one wanting to develop their music skills, learning about genres and notes, and then another group who wanted to focus on art, drawing colouring and painting. We ended up listening to some of our favourite music to get ideas and looking at different artists to create our own artwork. Everyone was really happy to share their thoughts with others and came up with some great ideas.
