This is the third  blog of our week in 7P and here’s our round-up of what we’ve been up to in our learning journey.

As always we’ve had a lot of fun in class, and we’ve worked very hard as well. As you may have already seen we’ve learnt about time, https://astleypark.lancs.sch.uk/blog/2026-02-07-13-09-7p-time-to-learn-about-time, and made photoframes, https://astleypark.lancs.sch.uk/blog/2026-02-07-13-22-7p-make-photoframes, and we hope you’ve enjoyed looking at those blogs.

We have also worked hard on our usual lessons such as Phonics, Reading and Number, and have enjoyed Regulation Breaks throughout our days. We’ve continued to look at Body Parts in our World Around Me sessions, and this week we made lungs using balloons, and we have also furthered our learning on body parts by labelling different body parts. We’ve also continued our PSHE lessons and this week we spoke about what we preferred out of two options, such as “Dogs or Cats?” PE continues to be a favourite lesson of ours, as we enjoyed time in the hall with learners from other P Classes as we carried on with our Gymnastics work. In Art with Miss Troughton we made sculptures out of clay, which fed back into our work about the Human Body. As always our learners who went swimming did fantastic work, and those who stayed in school to do Food Tech showed that they are progressing brilliantly with following recipes and instructions. On Friday, during Golden Time, some of our learners joined in with KS3’s Choir alongside children from other classes led by Mrs Smith.

Our Star Of The Week this week is George! George has adapted brilliantly to change, especially with only having his iPad after he has finished his lunch! We’re all very proud of you George! Well done!

We hope you have a fantastic, and safe, weekend and we’ll see you on Monday for our final week before a well deserved holiday.
