Hi everyone,

Firstly, a huge well done for keeping up the good work. We have been learning from home for a really long time now and I am so proud of each and every one of you for keeping up the good work! I know your families are extremely proud of you too!

Now, let’s look back on this weeks work....

We continued to think about dinosaurs and some of you had a go and writing messages describing what it might have been like to walk with dinosaurs. You pretended that you had gone back in time to walk with dinosaurs and wrote a letter or postcard to somebody in the future about what it was like and how you felt. Kristen wrote a fantastic postcard to Emily and Ruby wrote a lovely letter to Jenny! Well done girls!

We have also been thinking about ways to protect the environment this half term and this week we focused on recycling. Hollie enjoyed checking that everything in the rubbish bin was non-recyclable and made sure all recyclable materials were recycled. Good job Hollie! On Purple Mash, lots of you made some brilliant posters about protecting the environment. We will display these in class when we are back at school as they are fantastic! Next weeks challenge will focus on reusing materials. I have set you a dinosaur junk modelling challenge. I can’t wait to see what you make - you are all so creative!

We have also continued to think about managing our free time. We really enjoy listening to music in class so I thought it would be nice to make a class playlist. Ruby would like to add this song to the playlist - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8EdNq4Q1vA. Comment below to add more songs to our class playlist! We can listen to it when we are back together or you could listen to the songs at home to remember your friends!

In other news this week, Hollie celebrated her siblings birthday this week with a pool party in the sunshine; Tyler has been in his hot tub and has been baking again; Riley has been den building in the garden; Sophie has been mowing the lawn to help at home; and Ruby is getting ready for a VE Day street party! Wow! So many fun activities going on at home - they all sound great!

Keep sending us your photos and videos and keep up the good work 7R!
