Today Sycamore have enjoyed learning about Children in Need and celebrating through lots of activities.

We learned that:

  • Children in Need is used to help to raise money for children in need.
  • Children in need are children not as lucky as us. We said it can be children who don’t have money, don’t have food or might be poorly.
  • People raise money through fundraisers - we said these could be sponsored dances, bake sales or even games.

We have enjoyed lots of activities including:

  • Drawing Pudsey following a step by step video.
  • Listening to the story “Pudsey’s Great Fundraiser”. We spoke about the pictures and made some predictions about what we thought would happens to Pudsey and what would happen next in the story.
  • Working as a team to design a patchwork Pudsey.
  • Physical games; listening to instructions from Pudsey.
  • A competition challenge. We had to design our own Pudsey Bear and bandana in 5 minutes. We then sat for a circle time and looked at the pictures our friends had created. Sycamore did great work thinking about positives on their friends creations, they then voted for the ones they liked best!

Have a great weekend everyone!
