8R have been super busy this week. We’ve looked at internet safety, how we can keep happy and help our friends too and we’ve got crafty for Valentine’s Day!

On Monday this week we explored internet safety and why this is important to us. We discussed what information should be shared online and what should be kept private. We spoke about how we need to remember our stranger danger and online promises and that we should always talk to an adult if something worries us.

On Thursday and Friday we got super creative and made some amazing pieces of art to help with our mood and our friends. We created a dream catcher, to help keep away any bad thoughts and help us to have only happy dreams. These looked amazing when we finished! We put them up in our classroom window for everyone else to see.
We also made some of our friends at home a ‘paper hug’. We drew around each other, cut out our shape and then coloured it in to look like us. We are going to send home these hugs for some of our friends that are at home so they can have a long distanced pretend hug because we miss them a lot!

On Friday we got even more creative and made some valentines themed decorations to hang around our classroom. On Friday afternoon we had a fun quiz to end our half term. Miss Brophy asked lots of staff around school if we could have some baby pictures of them. We had to look at the baby pictures and see if we could guess which staff member it was of. We really enjoyed this quiz and seeing some of the weird hairdos people used to have. We’re glad Mrs Devlin has had a proper hair cut!! Why don’t you see if you can recognise who is who from some of the baby pictures we’ve included...

We have really enjoyed getting super creative this week and have done so much wonderful work!

We hope you all have a lovely and restful half term.
