Today 9G have been celebrating World Down Syndrome day, and have been looking at what this means.

We have spoke about what it means to have Down Syndrome, and that it is important that we know it doesn’t stop people achieving what they want to achieve.

We watched a Sesame Street video clip about everyone being the same, and different and that this is ok.

We then read a story about Ella who has Down Syndrome and all the things she does the same as her friends!

9G enjoyed singing and signing along to ‘We are Family’, which you can find in the link below!

9G looked at how having Down Syndrome means you have an extra chromosome, and that these chromosomes looks a little bit like funky socks! Some of us had odd socks on today to celebrate! We designed our own odd socks too!
