This week Chestnut Class have had a great time getting stuck into our Mini beast topic by reading The Hungry Caterpillar. We have enjoyed learning about different types of fruit, making choices and working on our fine motor skills to chop, peel and make delicious fruit skewers. We have been working on our number skills; recognising numerals, ordering numbers and showing accuracy as we print repeated patterns using our finger tips and balloons. We have been recalling all the things the hungry caterpillar ate through the week by retelling the story through play and some of us have even been working on sequencing the days of the week. Chorley Sports Partnership have been helping us to move our bodies and travel like different mini beasts and we have been working on our personal learning targets throughout.

It has been lovely to have everyone back and we are amazed at how ready to learn they are after the Christmas break and we would also like to welcome a new member to Chestnut Class - Diyaan
