This week in 7a we have enjoyed orienteering in PE. The children have shown great listening and communication skills in this terms PE with a difference. They have been working in groups independently to explore the grounds of school to find multiple musical instruments hidden around the forest and on the track . They had to each find 10 instruments per group around the orienteering course .

On Wednesday the children began to look at how to calculate the perimeter of a shape . The children was able to use a calculator to work out the total giving the perimeter of the shape. They worked really hard and really impressed the teachers in 7a.

In my thinking and problem solving the children was set a challenge to create an origami book mark. They followed steps lead by Mr Massey , then set to it . Some children managed to do this task independently whilst others needed a little support to fold and cut . All of the children completed the origami book mark and was super proud of their origami book mark.

On Thursday in English the children used their iPads to find facts and create their own fact file about their favourite animal . They had a list of questions that they needed to research and include into their fact file, along with a number of photos to support their facts.

On Friday in music with Miss Troughton the children have taken boomwacking a step forward , being able to hear the beat and play the notes . The children followed the rhythm and played the beat to old macdonald and we don’t talk about Bruno. Super effort today !

Another super week in 7 a !
