7P are having a wonderful start to residential. Our group is called Dodd group and our instructor is Lou. We are having so much fun! Everyone has settled in really well.

Last night we enjoyed a session in the Calvert swimming pool. We loved the lights and music! We had a chill in the games room afterwards before bed. We all slept really well.

This morning we fuelled up with a cooked breakfast before we set off on our canoeing adventure. We all paddled hard in our race to “goose poo island”. We enjoyed exploring the island and looking at the geese, as well as making a wish at the wishing tree and giving the tree a hug to make our wishes come true! We paddled back to shore just in time for lunch back at Calvert.

This afternoon we went on a wet walk up a stream. The class worked as a team to help each other. Great job everybody.

When we got back on the mini bus after our wet walk, Lou asked us for one word to describe today. We had lots of “fantastic”, as well as “excellent”, “very wet” and “the best day ever!”

We have dried off and had tea and we are now enjoying some time in the sports hall to burn off the last of our energy before bed. I’m sure we will all sleep well again tonight!
