Tuesday morning arrived quickly and we were all up bright and early, ready to start the day with a hearty breakfast. It is very easy for us to say that the food at Calvert Trust is out of this world! We had a choice of cereal and fruit and toast, accompanied with a cooked breakfast of bacon, eggs and sausage. What more could anyone ask for?!

We met at the front of the building nice and warm in our coats and gloves ready to get on the minibus to go cycling. Lou drove the minibus and took us to an old airfield which was about 35 minutes drive from Calvert Trust. It had the most spectacular views and the cycle track ran underneath some humongous wind turbines.

We got our helmets on and then everyone chose a bike, most of us liked the three wheeled bikes that were low to the ground and lots of us zoomed off on these around the small practice track. Josh decided he had had enough of going round the small track and raced off down the path to the big track. Miss Patterson set off to the rescue to check that Josh was safe, but Lou and Bea reassured us that Josh could only loop back on himself, and sure enough he reappeared with a big grin on his face. Harry wanted to have a go on the side by side bikes and persuaded Mrs Mahood to ride with him. Lily's legs were tired on the big track so she hopped onto a side by side bike with Mrs Cobham.

When we had put the bikes away, it was time for some quiet time in the small garden and to rehydrate with some juice and a relax. Lou drove us back to Calvert Trust on the minibus.

For dinner it was sandwiches, crisps and soup, just what we needed to warm up after a busy morning cycling.

In the afternoon the weather forecast wasn't great so we headed off to the indoor climbing hall. We got our helmets on and got harnessed up first. We challenged ourselves in lots of ways: on the climbing wall, climbing the swinging rope ladder, abseiling and some of us even did the leap of faith with the trapeze! We were so impressed with everyone's courage and it was so nice to hear everyone cheering for one another in encouragement.

For tea it was homemade chicken pie, fish fingers or southern fried chicken with wedges or pasta. We were all very hungry and ready for our tea!

After tea, it was time for swimming! Miss Patterson, Harry and Clayton went to explore the onsite Sensory Room then watched the football while the rest of us piled in the pool. We enjoyed changing the colours of the lights in the pool, singing along to our favourite music and watching the projections along the wall.

Bedtime went much quicker than the previous night, everyone had worked hard and was ready for well deserved rest. Great work 10G!
