We all returned after the Easter Break ready to get back into lessons. What a fun filled and packed week Miss Bentham had in store for us.
Our community groups have now changed and we are going out as a full class once a week. This half term we will be visiting Withy Grove Park in Bamber Bridge. The sun shine for our first visit and some of the pupils even decided to sun bathe. The pupils worked really well in groups and did great turn taking on the equipment.

Our other visits are taking us up to Morrisons to do our shopping for our cooking and nutrition lessons. We get to visit the cafe once we have done the shopping. Again we have to work out if we have enough money for what we’d like. The young people are working with less and less support and are growing with confidence each week.

In PE we worked outside problem solving, following a map to find photographs of ourselves. Some of us found it quite tricky to follow the map, but am sure with more practice they will crack this. Miss Bentham then tangled us all up and challenged us to untangle ourselves. The first attempt saw lots of us letting go of each others hands so Miss Bentham then challenged us saying for each person who let go we had to run a lap of the track. Guess what? We managed to do it without letting go of anyone’s hands.

This term we have the responsibility of gardening and taking ownership of a flower bed at the front of school and a vegetable patch in the poly tunnel. This week saw the pupils preparing the beds ready for planting. We can’t wait to see how the flower bed blossoms and what vegetables we may grow.

We have celebrated Eid this week. We decorated the classroom and made cards and Eid biscuits. We designed our own Mendhi hand patterns too. We want to wish everyone a Happy Eid.

Our Star of the Week this week is Olivia. Olivia has been a kind and considerate friend to others this week. Well done Olivia you should be very proud of yourself.
