Another busy week in Chestnut Class! As part of our topic, ‘In the Toy Box’ we have been exploring different modes of transport through Attention Autism Stage 1 and Stage 2 reveals and copying simple modelled actions using ramps in Stage 3. We enjoyed expressing our choices of transport toys to send down the track and have been working hard to take turns in a small group. During creative tasks we made tracks using different coloured paints and making choices of big/small/vehicle and/or colour. Our favourite part of the week was making traffic light biscuits, selecting colours and icing biscuits following a simple model.  We have been activating cause and effect toys and learning to take turns during favourable activities. We are learning to focus our attention and independence in the workstation completing vehicle matching activities/jigsaws.

Well done Chestnut Class!
