Welcome back 9A. This academic year we are back to social dining in the hall at lunch time. On Tuesday we spent the morning designing and making our own placemats for lunch. We printed and laminated them are were able to use them for our first lunch in the hall. On Tuesday afternoon we used to Bee-bots as we were looking at movement, position and direction in Maths.
On Wednesday morning we started our Science topic - forces. We looked at gravity and tested dropping items of different size and shape to see how gravity would affect them.
On Wednesday afternoon we looked at time. We used the iPads to play games around time, played board games and looked at clocks.
Our topic this term is Superheroes. We spent some time watching a Marvel film and deciding which Superhero we would like to be. We talked about how the super heroes acted so that we could act them out during our drama lesson.
In PSHE we are looking at feelings. We will also be linking this to superhero’s by looking at how different characters manage their emotions.
