This week started with Picture News, where we saw images and videos of a church in Sweden being moved 5km down the road on wheels! We discussed why they had chosen to move it, rather than just knock it down and rebuild, which got us thinking about whether we would like to 'move our house' when we moved house! We also started maths this week, looking at the properties of numbers and the relationships. We used this knowledge to them complete a problem solving activity, applying what we had learnt.
On Tuesday we were back swimming, but this time at All Seasons. As it was our first lesson, the swimming teachers assessed our swimming capabilities so that they know what they need to teach us this term!
On Thursday we were back at Chorley in Bloom. This week we made wreaths out of the willow that had been chopped down from the garden. We watched a demonstration and then chose the best bits of willow to make our own wreaths (the bendier the better). Then we worked together to tie them up with zip ties and when we had finished we had made some lovely tear-drop shaped wreaths.
Friday morning saw us back in the food tech room making breakfast butties - it really is a team effort and everyone does their bit!
Our **Star of the Week** this week is Ollie for independently writing up a fantastic piece of ASDAN evidence. Well done Ollie!
