This week in 8A we continued to learn about Superflex with Miss Della Fera.
We had a recap on last weeks work where everybody had remembered the parts of the brain we had discussed previously, including the brain stem, thinking brain, emotional brain and ways we could help to stop us from ‘flipping our lid’.
Everyone in 8A completed a worksheet writing down the things Superflex would consider good choices. 8A also remembered things we could have in our toolkit to help us when emotional brain wasn’t getting a hug.
After this had been completed we all coloured in our own superhero mask. Miss Della Fera had bought her very own superhero cape into class, everyone had their photograph taken sporting their individual Superhero stance, wearing the cape.
I think you’ll agree they are all great superhero’s and teachers are extremely proud of the work they have achieved so far in 8A.
After all their hard work Miss Della Fera read a very special story, A huge bag of worries.
It tells the story of a little girl who carries around a huge bag filled with worries.
The story is about a little girl called Jenny. Her worries follow her where ever she goes. The are with her at home and at school. They are in a big blue bag that she carries around with her. She tries lots of ways to get rid of the worries but they always come back. One day she met a lovely lady who helped her with her big blue bag.
8A all listened intently and couldn’t wait to see what happened.
Another fantastic week in 8A!
We hope you all have a lovely weekend.
