And just like that we’ve made it to the February Half Term, and what a great half term it has been in 7P! All of our learners are showing great progression in their skills, confidence and abilities, and we’re very lucky in 7P to work with such fantastic individuals!
This week we’ve coped well with change, as with a four day week we’ve not had our usual schedule but we’ve enjoyed the days together that we have had!
You may have already seen the blogs about our Valentine’s Day cards, https://astleypark.lancs.sch.uk/blog/2026-02-13-14-18-7p-valentine-s-day-cards, as well as our blog about the planets we’ve made, https://astleypark.lancs.sch.uk/blog/2026-02-13-14-28-7p-making-planets-and-discussing-differences, but we’ve been up to plenty of other things as well!
We’ve enjoyed Phonics, and have played games such as “Cross The River”, as well as using different sounds to make words! In our number lessons we’ve looked at number bonds up to ten and the different numbers that can be added together to make ten. In Art we made statues using cardboard and photos of ourselves which we traced over, and for Mr Preece who had been on lunch when we finished our statues it was quite an experience to walk back in to class to find that there were now two versions of us in the room!
On Wednesday it was Rhian’s 12th Birthday, and he brought in some cake to share with his friends which was very well appreciated by everyone in class! Thank you Rhian, we hope you had an amazing birthday!
Finally, have an amazing holiday everyone, we hope you enjoy each minute and that you come back to school rested and ready to learn! Please stay safe, and take care of yourselves. We can’t wait to hear about what you got up to during the holidays!
