Assessment & Progress
We ensure that formative assessment is used by all staff at Astley Park to inform approaches to teaching and learning. Every class team is trained to capture evidence through our evidencing platform Evidence for Learning. All staff have been trained to carefully observe pupils and analyse learning to inform pupils next steps. This sits within our plan-do-assess-review cycle, which promotes challenging learning for all pupils.
Our targets are known as Aspirational Learning Intentions and are set in line with best practice for pupils with complex special educational needs.
