For World History Day, Maple Class looked at the toys children used to play with in the olden days. Maple looked at rocking horses, jack in a boxes and penny spinners. We talked about the toys we like to play with and  compared them. We then went to tables and enjoyed making some old toys including the penny spinners. We decorated our spinners with different colours and with some help from our teachers cut them out and placed them on top of some cardboard. Again with help, we cut them out and placed a penny in the middle. We really enjoyed spinning them on the tables.
