We have had another busy week in 9R. On Monday we looked at art by soldiers in WW1 and we chose the piece we liked best and had a go recreating it using charcoal and pastel. We have listened to a story called A Bridge on Fire about a girl called Kat. On Tuesday afternoon we had a teams meeting. It was great to see some of our friends. We listened to chapter 1 and 2 of A Bridge on Fire read by Mrs Cobham, Miss Troughton led us in a yoga activity, it was funny when all we could see were Sam’s feet - I think we all enjoyed the yoga though and we hope Miss Troughton will do this with us again. We played a quick memory game with Mrs Clarke and Thomas spotted the item which was missing - a glove, well done Thomas. At the end we had a quick five minutes chatting to our friends On Wednesday we listened to chapter 1 and 2 again and answered some questions about it. We did some work on money - recognising and ordering coins, making amounts. We had a Teams meeting on Thursday - we did a scavenger hunt and a quiz. It was really good fun. We have also taken part in a Joe Wickes workout which was tiring but lots of fun. On Friday we had Star of the Week assembly via Teams, it would was nice to see our friends who are at home. Michael was star of the week this week for an amazing week, completing lots of work, finding great facts about WW1, finishing his maths and including his friends outside - well done Michael. Robyn and Rebecca received bronze awards in the 6 star challenge - well done to both of you.

I wonder who will be star of the week next week.

Stay safe everyone.
