8G’s Big Catch Up!

Hello parents, carers, pupils and followers.  Sorry it has been a while since we last pushed out some fresh 8G content, but we have just been to busy.

I’d like to start off by giving a heart felt thank you and good by to our Teaching assistant Miss Pilkington who left mid-way through the Summer 1 term.  Miss Pilkington was offered an amazing opportunity to get back on stage as the restrictions have eased.  Even though she was always born for the big stage, she shone in 8G and it was a pleasure to have her as part of our teaching and learning team this year.

Next I would like to thank Katie and her Family for the generous gifts they provided the pupils as we celebrated Katies 13th Birthday just before half term. The class loved opening their party bags.  We spent our golden time partying on down on the last day of term, we danced, sang to Katie, and had a series of Kahoot quizzes to mark the occasion.

In our class work this summer the pupils have continued to embrace our ‘Happy Campers’ theme. This has seen the pupils practice their team work, speaking and listening skills and functional maths as they built tents, made picnics and explored our forest school. The class have loved this topic and they have shown what great independence and problem-solving skills they have!
