We’ve had a great week in 9A!
In our My Communication lessons, we have been learning about nouns this week. We have practised sorting them into people, places, things and animals, using nouns from the texts we’ve been studying – “Meg and Mog” and passages from the Harry Potter franchise.
In our My Thinking and Problem Solving lessons, we’ve been learning about how to make cheese and onion toasties and apple crumble. The pupils are starting to use key vocabulary well in these lessons. We also learnt how to make strawberry milkshakes in our potions lesson this week! We have learnt about further maths skills through topic-based word problems for some pupils and sorting picture-number flashcards (linked to our topic – witches and wizards).
In our My Community work, we’ve been able to go shopping this week to shop for ingredients. The pupils used a visual shopping list to help them to find what they needed.
