This week in school has been World Religion Week 11 G have been learning about Buddhism. We learnt who Buddha is and how their religion helps Buddhists with their feelings and emotions.

In our Monday morning café we tried some different foods for breakfast,we had seeded bread for our toast, some of us tried bran flakes with fruit ( strawberries and blueberries)and yoghurt. Mr Murphy also brought in some sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds for us to try.

On Tuesday morning we went swimming, we are practicing for our sponsored swim at the end of half term. Nicola counted how many lengths we had each done and recorded it. In the afternoon we learnt about our feelings and how to help others.

On Wednesday morning we looked at air pollution and car pollution, we talked about how it can affect us, the environment and plants and animals. Wednesday afternoon was our weekly visit to the gym, this week we measured the distance we traveled on the equipment to compare each week to see how we improve.

On Thursday morning we visited Asda, we went into the cafe where we could choose pancakes with syrup or toast and a drink for our snack. We sat with our friends in the cafe and chatted while we ate our breakfast. For our ASDAN we walked round Asda finding items on the aisles. In the afternoon we made a friendship tree and relaxed with some yoga.

On Friday morning we made and delivered bacon butties to staff. In the afternoon we made some Lotus Flowers and did some meditation to end our Buddhism week.

We’ve also been carrying on with our DofE volunteering- recycling around school, washing, drying and starting the dishwasher.
