Well what a great first week back in the sunshine we’ve had. Our vegetables and herbs have really grown and some were even ready for picking. Look at our radishes!

We began our week with our swimming lessons back at Hindley and  then drove straight to Lytham St Anne’s beach. We made sure we had our sun cream, a parasol, windbreak and picnic blankets. Some of us explored the beach for shells whilst others enjoyed beach games and digging in the sand.  We enjoyed  our time there and are looking forward to visiting again next week.

In PE we are preparing for Sharing Our Learning  on Thursday 13th July and learning our cricket skills. I hope mums, dads and carers are busy practising  because some of us are a great shot.

Our community visits are taking us to Asda this half term. We are walking there and back to make sure we get our steps and exercise in.

in Cooking and Nutrition we are continuing life skills and this week made scrambled egg on toast. The groups used different methods to make the scrambled eggs  but overall they went down well. I’m sure the learners may want to treat you at home by making some for you.

We deigned our own class scarecrow for the competition ran by Miss Howarth with the winner to be announced next week. Ours was based on Fred Dibnah, I bet you can see the resemblance.

We ended the week  with a fantastic event “Farmfest” .We all enjoyed the furry animals but some of us weren’t as keen on the snake. Thanks Miss Howarth for allowing us to join you in this fantastic event.

Our star of the week this week is Teegan, for supporting and encouraging her friends this week.Well done Teegan.

Have a wonderful weekend in the sunshine everyone.
