Welcome to 10A!

As part of ASDAN we are learning about healthy lifestyles, so today we did some activities about this. We split the class in two and one group went to the food tech room and made frozen fruit kebabs. This involved the pupils identifying different fruit and then cutting them up to put onto their kebabs. We used, strawberries, grapes, kiwi, mango, passion fruit, melon and pineapple. The pupils did a fantastic job of cutting the fruit up and pushing it onto their kebab sticks. The other group stayed in class and played healthy living bingo.

We then did a maths lesson, learning about data. The pupils were given different fruit to try, for example, oranges and bananas. They then had to put their hand up if they liked the fruit. Mrs Tolan then moved their picture on the whiteboard to the picture of the fruit if they liked it. Once they had tried all the different fruit, one group made their own diagram of the data like Mrs Tolan had done. They put the picture of their friends face around the piece of fruit they were given if they said they liked it. The other group made a frequency table. They had to count how many people had said they had liked each fruit, find the right peoples pictures and then put them onto their frequency table.

Well done 10A, what a great first week we have had!
