9A’s blog in the learners own words.

On Monday morning we did some different number work in maths. Afterwards we had break time outside, it was windy and rainy but we still had fun catching the leaves. After break we planned some more of our planet stories in my communication. We looked at what conflict we wanted our characters to have and how it would end. In the afternoon we talked about what Muslims believe about Allah and the afterlife. Then we did a Kahoot quiz to see what we remembered. Finally we helped with the blog and our friends did PHSE in class.
On Tuesday morning we had maths we did adding and subtracting and some people did number bonds. Next we did my communication we started writing our science fiction stories. Finally in the afternoon we did P.E. We started with the floor is lava to warm up then we practiced different rolls like teddy bear rolls, log rolls and forward rolls.

On Wednesday morning all the learners took part in the Chorley Secondary Ten Pin Bowling competition at Escape Entertainment Venue in Chorley. They were all very excited to be chosen and to represent our school. We had two teams take part and everyone played amazingly, Joseph, Gemma and Ben got  a strike and a sticker. Team one came 1st and Team 2 came 4th. We have been selected to take  part in the North-West regionals in February.  Well done Team we are super proud of you all!!!!

Some quotes rom the learners about their morning;

Ben- I felt happy today.

Grace- I felt happy and proud.
Teegan- I felt very happy and proud because I won a gold medal.

Gemma- I felt very happy because I won a medal.
Joseph- Today I fell shoutable and exciting!!!

Jake- I felt happy.

Daniel- I felt proud about the medal and my award.

After bowling we walked to Asda to buy the things we need in class and ingredients for cooking on Friday. As a treat for super bowling and behaviour we went to Seven Seas Chippy for our lunch. It was delicious and we all walked back to school with very full bellies!!!!!

On Thursday morning in maths we got into teams and did a maths quiz. We looked at the clues on the screen and had to find the right shape. After maths we all did some great reading. On Thursday afternoon we did drama. We played a game where we had to tell the story of Humpty Dumpty in different ways for example in a sad voice or like your talking to a baby. Our friends had to guess what we were trying to do. After that we worked in partners and one of us in each pair pretended to be a mirror and had to copy our partner. It was lots of fun.

On Friday we wore our own clothes to raise money for children in need. We started the day finishing our coding for our airports on our iPads. We set up collision detection for our airport and set noises to let us know if there was a crash. Then we had our cooking and nutrition lesson. We made our pizza dough and put toppings on it for our pizza. They look really delicious.

This weeks star of the week is Grace for writing the start of a fantastic science story, for showing great enthusiasm in drama and for being a great team player in maths.
Well done Grace.
