Beech class have had an amazing week! This week we have explored our 5 senses.

Touch- We explored ‘touch’ by feeling different materials. We enjoyed a sensory walk through fur, sand, ice, water and even jelly. During attention autism, we watched Miss Melling make it snow and we had a turn at sitting under the umbrella while we had a snowball fight.

Smell- We explored ‘smell’ by having a look at different herbs. We squashed them in the playdoh, chopped them up and used our noses to smell the different scents.

Hear- On Thursday, we explored musical instruments. We watched Mrs Barrand in attention autism sprinkle different materials on the instruments. We then had a turn ourselves and enjoyed making lots of sounds.

Sight - To explore sight, we began to look at autumn. We looked at conkers and leaves and enjoyed rolling them down the ramps. Some of us enjoyed a walk through the forest and communicated what we could see.

Taste - On Friday, we explored taste. We took it in turns to taste strawberries, marshmallows and chocolate! This was definitely Beech classes favourite!

Great work Beech class.
