7A

Weeks 7 and 8 have been super busy to end our first part of term.

We have been looking at Black History Month as a class together, how it started, and the different people we have been learning about in black history month.

Last week we all enjoyed a visit from from the Guide Dog Ned, 7A enjoyed meeting Ned and the staff that give us lots of information about training guide dogs.

This week we have been learning about Diwali, and that Diwali is an important religious festival and it’s also known as the festival of lights.

7A have enjoyed lots of Halloween activities this week too, lots of crafting and designing our own spooky pumpkins to go in our classroom.

On Wednesday we had a special visit from a soldier in the army Staff Sergeant. He came to visit us as part of our superhero theme. He talked to us about all aspects of his job and 7A asked him lots of interesting questions which was really informative, he also taught the children how to stand to attention and at ease. 7A really enjoyed the visit.
