On Monday morning we finished the last of our practice tests, this week it was our English writing paper. We all had a fantastic attitude whilst completing them and have worked really hard. Then we had picture news, this week we looked at the possible age ban on social media and the good and bad impacts of social media on people under 16.
In the afternoon we had a visit from Julie from Keep Moat. She had a look at our designs for our housing estates. She was really impressed with the work we have put in so far. We carried on with our designs adding lots of amenities that a housing estate might need.
On Tuesday morning we did an activity for safer internet day. We discussed how we keep ourselves safe on the internet. Then we made a puppet pals production as a class that talked about some of the things we had learnt. In the afternoon in our science lesson we learnt about food chains and what a producer and consumer are. Some of us went a step further looking at the difference between a primary and secondary consumer. Then we had our P.E lesson. Some us took part in dancing in the hall while the rest of the class chose to run laps of the track.
On Wednesday morning we had a visit from P.C Scott and P.C.S.O Kate.
We discussed how the police help to keep us safe, what things are considered emergencies and require a 999 call and which things we can report using 101. We also talked about some of the things the officers get called out to and how they would respond to situations or calls. In the afternoon we had options we all had a great afternoon. Please see the options blog for more information on the things we did during options this week.
On Thursday we spent the morning finishing off some pieces of or work for our ASDAN folders and we also did some reading. In the afternoon we had well being time which saw some of us take part in movie club while some of us played social games.
