This week Beech class have finished our topic of ‘the world’.
On Monday and Tuesday we continued to explore the beach. We made sand ‘cakes’, enjoyed a boat race, fished for sea creatures and blew bubbles to make marks on the fish.
Throughout the rest of the week, we explored the town. We had a turn at making our own houses using junk models and paint, took turns at making a collage house and used the blocks and foam to build different buildings.
Our main focus this week has been, sense of self, communication and language and our social, emotional and mental health targets. To do this, we have all asserted our choices, followed personalised timetables to keep us motivated and engaged in lots of turn taking activities.
We have all used great communication using our PECS books and communication boards and engaged in intensive interaction.
Well done Beech! Next week we move onto exploring Easter.
