This week in 7P, we took part in active maths and creative phonics.

In phonics, we explored our sounds in a creative way. We used balloons filled with paint and threw them at the wall to splat the sounds we were learning. This was something we all enjoyed, even though it took a few tries to get the balloons to pop. Afterwards, we went inside and played sounds bingo, using paints and cotton wool balls to splat the correct sounds on our boards.

In active maths, we worked on number recognition by throwing bean bags into hoops. The aim was to match the number shown or requested, helping us practise identifying numbers while also improving our aim. We counted how many bean bags landed in the hoop and how many didn’t quite make it in.

It was a super fun end to our first week back in 7P.
