This week we have got straight back to work, looking at our new topic of Dinosaurs.
In Design and Technology we have been looking at toys and how they move. We have been exploring various toys and have been looking at the mechanisms that make them work. In the next few weeks we will planning, designing and making our own moveable dinosaur toys. We look forward to sharing them with you.
In our English lessons we have been looking at dictionary’s, how to use them and how to navigate around them to find definitions of words. The definitions we found enabled us to do some descriptive writing about dinosaurs.
In our RE lesson we looked at nature and how natural objects have meaning in different religions. We learnt that in Christianity the sun symbolises light and life and how an olive tree symbolises peace and recognition and reconciliation.
