This week, the whole school has participated in sports week. Along with our usual physical activities, such as walks around the track, playing on the exercise equipment, running around on the playground, the children took part in many fun additional sessions throughout the week.
On Monday afternoon, we went into the hall to explore an obstacle course made up of different equipment, play catch with the balls and had a play with the rainbow parachute.
Tuesday was a busy day! First, half of the class went on a trip swimming and had great fun practicing floating as well as splashing their teachers! Then, we played mini golf on the track. Finally, we went to play with a soft play in the garden room. In here we loved diving into the ball pits, running on the soft mat flooring and building tall towers (that we can knock down again).
On Wednesday we had our weekly trip to the park, where we continued to practice our safe travelling skills while walking to the park. It was a lovely day to get some fresh air and some exercise.
On Thursday we had our primary sports day. We had a fantastic afternoon engaging in the different activities across school. We started off playing with balls and balloons in the MUGA. Then we moved onto the variety of activities on the track such as egg and spoon race, bean bag toss and obstacle courses. Then we ended the afternoon with some fun on the playground.
Finally on Friday, we finished off the week with fun on the bouncy castle.
Well done kids or a brilliant sports week.
