This week, Rowan Class has been immersed in a range of exciting Bonfire Night-themed learning experiences, with pupils showing fantastic engagement, curiosity and enthusiasm throughout.
Learners explored the sights, sounds and experiences associated with Bonfire Night through a variety of sensory, creative and practical activities.
A particular highlight of the week was our sensory Bonfire Night experience. Pupils explored the sensory fire, practised important safety routines and enjoyed roasting marshmallows over the pretend campfire. Learners showed excellent attention and participation as they followed the sequence of events and communicated their preferences using speech, AAC and gestures.
Another favourite activity was our sparkler-themed dance sessions. Using colourful ribbons and scarves to represent sparklers, pupils moved to music while exploring actions such as fast, slow, up, down and round and round.
We are incredibly proud of how Rowan Class embraced all aspects of Bonfire Night learning. The week was filled with exploration, communication, sensory discovery and lots of smiles, with pupils demonstrating resilience, engagement and enjoyment throughout.
