Today is Sian’s birthday.

Sycamore have had lots of fun helping Sian celebrate her special day. This afternoon we have enjoyed dancing, games and yummy chocolate cakes for snack.

So we have had a nice first week back in Sycamore...We are settling back into a routine after a busy Christmas.

Sycamore worked in 3 small teams and worked together to think about the questions and write out the answers.

On Thursday we all enjoyed a very yummy and very special McDonalds treat for our lunch. 

We all chose our own dinner and sat with our friends, talking more about Christmas and the toys that came in our happy meals!

What a great treat to have an early Christmas dinner in class with all our friends today.

Sycamore enjoyed pulling crackers, telling jokes, eating lots of yummy food and talking about what we all want for Christmas! 

We are very excited for Christmas now!

This week Sycamore have got active and taken part in the ‘Walk a Mile’ challenge. We had to walk 10 laps to complete our mile. 

On Thursday and Friday we spent time collecting stickers for all the laps we completed. 

Together Sycamore completed a combined 107 laps - more than 10 miles…

Today Sycamore have been learning about gender stereotypes.

First we spoke about what a stereotype is - we learned that a stereotype is an idea or view that someone believes that might not be true.
