8R have had such a busy week this week!

We started our week by looking at why St David’s day is celebrated and thinking about the first day of spring. As you can see in our photos we did some wonderful art work, even Miss Brophy gave it a go.

And Mrs Devlin surprised us all with a lovely treat and gave us some daffodils. They have opened up already and look lovely.

On Thursday, with the rest of the school, we celebrated world book day! Miss Brophy and Mrs Devlin dressed up as WW2 characters from Goodnight Mr Tom and Ruby dressed up as her favourite character too. We had a book scavenger hunt where we looked through lots of books to find certain characters. In the afternoon we joined in the World Book Day parade and looked at all the amazing costumes from other people in school and those at home. Everyone looked amazing!

On Friday we used our cooking skills to make some mug cupcakes and also some flapjack. We will save the flapjack for Monday to welcome back all our other 8R friends that we have missed so much.

We can’t wait to se everyone back in school on Monday, make sure you rest up this weekend!
